Role Description

As a Pre-sales Engineer at Shieldworkz, you’ll be responsible for:

Partnering with sales and marketing teams to deliver tailored technical demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concepts for prospective clients.

Understanding client requirements across OT/ICS environments and mapping them to Shieldworkz’s solutions and services.

Conducting product walkthroughs, architecture whiteboarding, and ROI discussions with both technical stakeholders and executive decision-makers.

Assisting in the preparation of RFPs, technical proposals, and solution architecture documentation.

Leading technical discovery sessions and site assessments to evaluate current security posture and recommend improvements.

Collaborating with product and engineering teams to provide real-world feedback on features, integrations, and usability.

Staying current on ICS cybersecurity trends, threat landscapes, and competing technologies to position Shieldworkz effectively.

Supporting the onboarding and early implementation phases to ensure a smooth customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a technically sharp communicator, someone who can speak the language of both OT engineers and CISOs. You understand that in cybersecurity, buying decisions hinge on clarity, credibility, and confidence. You love solving problems and helping others visualize the solution.

Ideal Qualifications:

2–5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, preferably in cybersecurity or industrial/OT environments.

Strong understanding of ICS/OT architectures, industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA), and cybersecurity concepts.

Familiarity with cybersecurity products such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, asset inventory platforms, or anomaly detection systems.

Exceptional presentation and communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience responding to RFPs, preparing solution diagrams, and supporting POCs or pilots.

Ability to build rapport with prospective clients and guide them through technical evaluations and purchasing decisions.

Hands-on experience with tools like Wireshark, Visio/Lucidchart, or cloud-based collaboration platforms.

Preferred certifications: GICSP, CISSP, Security+, or vendor-specific credentials
