About the Job
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding our market presence in OT/ICS cybersecurity. This role is about creating and nurturing strategic opportunities, building strong relationships with decision-makers, and driving Shieldworkz’s growth across industries like energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing.
Role Description
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with industrial operators, asset owners, and integrators.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with C-level executives, plant managers, and security leaders.
Developing account strategies and executing on go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Leading presentations, demos, and negotiations that clearly communicate Shieldworkz’s value propositions.
Working cross-functionally with technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market signals to inform sales strategy.
Representing Shieldworkz at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships. You should be just as comfortable in a technical discussion with engineers as you are negotiating with executives. This role is best suited for a driven, strategic thinker who’s passionate about cybersecurity and critical infrastructure.
Ideal Qualifications:
3–6 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in cybersecurity, OT/ICS, industrial automation, or critical infrastructure sectors.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing enterprise-level deals.
Strong understanding of sales cycles, account management, and enterprise procurement processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with ICS protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.) and cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF) is a strong plus.
Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo).
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a fast-growing cybersecurity company.
